Canberra Hospital - Canberra Sexual Health Centre (CSHC)
Canberra Sexual Health Centre focuses on prevention, diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV.
The Centre is staffed by sexual health physicians, specialist registrars, nurse practitioners and sexual health nurses. We provide free and confidential care for all ages. We welcome gay and other men who have sex with men, young people and sex workers.
Walk-in clinics for sexual health care, no appointment necessary, run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9am - 2pm and on Wednesday between 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
There are limited appointments at other times, please phone (02) 6244 2184 during business hours (9:00am - 5:00pm).
Canberra Sexual Health Centre also provides outreach STI screening for at risk populations with partner organisations (AIDS Action Council ACT, Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) and the HIV Program of ACT Medicare Local).
Canberra Sexual Health Centre and SHFPACT provide an innovative program of sexual health education with access to clinical care including testing, advice and tailored information for ACT college students. We provide education to a range of other external audiences and have an active research program.
Services
- Sexual Health Walk-in Clinics
Free testing for sexually transmitted infections (STI) including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, genital herpes, genital warts, syphilis and HIV.
Assistance with contact tracing, support and information after STI diagnosis, and in relation to safe sex, sexual concerns, sexuality and same sex attraction.
Daily walk-in clinic for new and returning sexual health patients with no appointment needed, just attend at the times listed below.
There are limited appointments for sexual health patients who cannot attend during the walk-in hours, call 02 6244 2184.

- HIV Care
Specialist HIV care is available Monday to Friday during business hours. Whilst patients requiring HIV care can attend walk-in clinics, appointments are preferred to optimise care, and often reduce waiting times.

GP's and other referring agencies - please phone to arrange early review for patients newly diagnosed with HIV and to refer patients moving into the ACT.Contact:

- M-Clinic
M-Clinic is a once a month after hours clinic providing free, quick and convenient STI and HIV checkups for asymptomatic men who have sex with men (MSM).
No need to make an appointment - just drop in.
M-Clinic is part of our response to increasing HIV diagnoses in the ACT (as well as other STIs). Australian HIV and STI Testing Guidelines for Asymptomatic MSM recommend at least annual HIV and STI testing for all men who have sex with men, and more frequent testing (every 3-6 months) for men who have more than one partner or change partners.Contact:

- Vulval Dermatology
Specialist dermatologist clinic that runs every two months. Referral are required.
Sexual health physicians also provide diagnosis and management of vulval skin conditions, referral are preferred.
