Cancer Council ACT
Cancer Council ACT is a non government not-for-profit community organisation that aims to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region. The Council depends largely on the generosity of the ACT and surrounding community providing donations and supporting fundraising initiatives.

- Quit Smoking Courses Community Education Smoking Cessation
The Cancer Council ACT is committed to reducing the impact of tobacco smoking and reducing its uptake by people in the ACT. The Smoking Cessation program provides quit smoking courses, workplace and community quit smoking seminars, brief interventions and training for health professionals and workers within special settings to increase their capacity to help their clients stop smoking.Contact:

Our cancer education programs are free and provide information and support to people diagnosed with cancer and their families and friends. They cover a range of topics including cancer and its treatments, living with cancer, survival skills and how to cope with a cancer diagnosis. New Canberra Hospital visiting hours
Visiting hours at Canberra Hospital have changed to 0600 to 2100, except for Mental Health and the Alcohol & Drug Service.

Coughs, colds, sprains, rashes - your local pharmacist can give you expert advice on many health issues.
For free expert advice and reassurance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, call healthdirect 1800 022 222, or for the one-off treatment of minor illnesses and injuries seven days a week from 7am-11pm, see a specialist nurse at our Walk-in centre.
