Braidwood Multi Purpose Service
In October 1992 the Braidwood community was consulted at a public meeting about proposed changes to their local health and community services.
The change proposed was known as the Multi Purpose Service Program.
The Multi Purpose Service Program is a joint Commonwealth and State funded project that seeks to improve the provision of Community, Aged and Health Care services in rural and remote areas of Australia.

General Medicine and Palliative Care.
9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
8.30am to 8:00pm.

The emergency department provides acute care and resuscitation. A high standard of care is provided utilising current technology and skills, while promoting and maintaining the physical, psychological and spiritual well being of the individual. This is an emergency department and all cases are assessed and treated according to their urgency, not in order of arrival.
Please note a doctor may not be available at all times and if your problem is not urgent you may be referred to the GP surgery.
This emergency service accepts adult paediatric and obstetrics emergencies.

Visiting hours at Canberra Hospital have changed to 0600 to 2100, except for Mental Health and the Alcohol & Drug Service.
