The focus of CDMU is on improving the management of patients with chronic disease, particularly Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Heart Failure (CHF), Parkinson’s Disease and Obesity. We also undertake project work including management consulting, clinical audits, continuous quality improvement, research activities and evaluations to improve the management of chronic disease across the ACT.

Services include: The National Health Co-op (NHC) is a not-for-profit, member owned co-operative that provides affordable medical and healthcare services to the communities where it operates. Consistent with Medicare eligibility requirements, members enjoy unlimited access to bulk billed doctors of their choice at any NHC practice in Australia.
The Charnwood Clinic was the first clinic opened by the National Health Co-op (formerly West Belconnen Health Co-op) in 2010 and is located next to Brindabella Christian College and Anytime Fitness. With capacity for 16 clinicians including GPs, Practice Nurse, Psychologists, Dietitians and onsite pathology. Onsite parking is also available.

Visiting hours at Canberra Hospital have changed to 0600 to 2100, except for Mental Health and the Alcohol & Drug Service.
